Wine Wars....among the wineries, the critics, the purported expert collectors...really just a money struggle and ego game. What happened to just enjoying a glass and a little food and friends? The same wine that some romantically swoon over is now big biz. Does that mean no more fun? Absolutely not. Wine is delicious, healthy and fun to share. Just don't get swept up in the snob fest of yesteryear.

Not to suggest that wine hobbyists can't have fun talking about wine, sharing experiences and drinking to analyze. That's fine. Just never assume you know it all and your opinion rules. He who knows it all actually knows little. The experienced person has finally learned how much more there is to learn about the subject. Drinking wine is a matter of taste and there are no wrong answers.

Millennials are great because they have no preconceived attitudes about what is correct and desirable in wine. They seem to instinctively know that there will not be a test when you finish your glass. This is now and this is the future.

So as we visit here, I'll keep you posted on some finds in wine, trends, events and warn you of the foibles of wines or man. More later.
